Aldenpress, 2016-Present
After I started Aldenpress, I was talking to a good friend about the work. She said that she wanted to have a drawing of each how she lived in with her family and asked if I could do such a drawing for them.
This is that drawing.
Their first house in Golden Valley, MN.
I shared this story with some friends and acquaintances in Brooklyn, with more and more people wanting a home portrait for themselves, a friend or family member. This was the start of my exploration in home portraiture. The collection below is a rather accurate timeline from that first drawing in 2017 up until now, I think it's interesting to see the progression over time...and important to look backward in order to move forward.
