Alissa A.M. Johnson
Architect + Designer

I’m Alissa—an architect-turned-designer whose work lives at the crossroads of space, story, and strategy. Over more than a decade at Foster + Partners, I contributed to landmark buildings like The Bow in Calgary and 425 Park Avenue in New York City, distilling complex engineering and architectural ideas into clear diagrams, renderings, and presentation graphics.
My design thinking is informed by living and working around the globe—from Rome to London to New York’—which taught me to approach every challenge with curiosity, empathy, and a solutions-first mindset. Whether sketching early concepts or refining final details, I’m known for:
Creative Problem Solving: Finding elegant, practical solutions under tight constraints
Spatial & Visual Storytelling: Turning technical data and plans into engaging, intuitive graphics
Collaborative Energy: Bringing teams and stakeholders on board with clear communication and enthusiasm
User-Centered Approach: Balancing form, function, and the human experience in every design
